SCHEDULE / LENGTH OF GAME |
|
|
Standard length of games are 3x15 min. run time periods. |

All games are played with running time. Time is stopped only when:.
- If the referee directs time to be stopped.
- At stoppage of play during the last 2 minutes if the score is within 2 goals.
- There is NO other reason to stop play – game on people :)

LEAGUE
LAYOUT |
|
|
LEAGUE is 8 weeks (8 games). |

|
|
Round Robin:
Each game is worth 3 points. If tied at full time each team get 1 point and go on to a sudden death shoot out for a second point. Shoot out is 3 players per team sudden death and then 1x1 sudden death if still tied.
Floorball Hockey America reserves the right to shorten the game due to time restraints at 949.
We will not be playing on August 6th due to the US Open and September 3rd due to Labor day weekend |

PLAYOFFS |
|
|
The league is a 8 week, 8 game season. If there is a tie in the standings at the end of the 8 weeks there will be a 15 min mini game to determine the League Champion. |
|

|
GAME RULES |
|
|
Each team is allowed 5 players and 1 goalie on the rink at a time. Games will be played according to the international floorball federations rule book. Each game will have 1-2 referees. |

|
RULES NOTE |
|
|
IF you are unfamiliar with the rules of floorball click here for a pdf. We have high lighted the most common rules. If you are used to hockey rules this is a must as MANY things you are used to do are restricted or not allowed. |

REFEREES |
|
|
Qualified referees WANTED
This is where help is always needed and appreciated – If you are qualified PLEASE sign up to ref. All referees are compensated $7.00 per game.
Each team is required to provide 2 referees in the event that not enough referees have volunteered.
If you can ref. please e-mail erik@fbus.us I need your name and experience level.

REFEREE TRAINING
(if available) |
|
|
A referee clinic may hosted by an experienced referee from the USFbA floorball Federation. New referees wanting to ref. are required to attend training. Players wanting to learn the rules are encouraged to attend. |
